5 Easy Ways to Maintain Weight Loss

1.   Practice Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting involves cycling between periods of fasting and eating – and its recently become very popular, also for its health benefits which includes weight loss, reversal of type two diabetes and many other things. Intermittent fasting simply allows the body to use stored energy, by burning off excess body fat. Body fat is merely food energy that has been stored away. If you don’t eat, your body will “eat its own fat for energy.

2.   Go for a daily 30 min power walk

When we are busy we can’t always make time for a full workout at the gym but taking power walks during the day or taking the stairs more often makes your heart beat faster and more oxygen is pushed through your body. Oxygen promotes weight loss while it also boost your metabolism.

3.   Drink loads of water

We are prone to rather have coffee or other beverages during the day than water. Rather focus on drinking more water. Water fills the fat cells and flushes it out of the body and it also hydrates the skin.

4.   Keep a food journal

To keep track of what you eat, you can see how much you consume and you can be more aware and in control of how much you do eat and how much calories you consume in a day. To be aware of our consumption will lead to less and more healthy food choices.

5.   Avoid carbs

It’s all based on a controversial hypothesis known as the carbohydrate-insulin model of obesity. What happens when we eat carbohydrates?

  • You eat carbohydrates

  • Your body releases insulin.

  • Then, according to the model, insulin 1) It keeps your body from burning fat for   energy, and 2) drives fat and sugar from your bloodstream into your fat cells.

  • All this makes your body think it’s starving, causing it to slow your metabolism and increase your hunger. Therefore try and avoid Carbs at all cost.

Stay strong and keep positive. You can achieve anything that you want to in this life.
